Molly West Scholarship
Molly West lived by Crystal Lake where she was well known in the community as an advocate for protecting and preserving the lake area. As president of the Crystal Lake Association, Molly’s was a strong voice within the town of Ellington on issues involving the health of the lake she loved. When she died, those who knew her honored Molly’s memory with donations which the Crystal Lake Association has used to establish this scholarship in her name. Molly’s love of the lake and of preserving the environment will live on in awarding this scholarship to a student who shares a connection to Crystal Lake or who plans to further Molly’s goals through pursuing a career in environmental or related sciences.
The 2019 award recipient was Emma Babiec who plans to study Environmental Science at Virginia Polytechnic Institute
The 2018 award recipient was Julia Levandoski.
The 2017 award recipient was Kate Walder who is planning to attend UCONN.

Ellington Community Scholarship Association
Over the years, ECSA has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to Ellington students going on to college or technical and trade schools. Since 1990 alone, ECSA has awarded more than $1,000,000 to Ellington students pursuing a post-secondary education. ECSA is a nonprofit organization with exemption status granted pursuant to section 501(c) (3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code.
